Cosmetic

A cosmetic is a substance that is used to boost the appearance of the human body. The cosmetic industry is valued as an integral and significant part of the economy because of its enormous profit and popularity over the years. The best cosmetic companies or brands include Oriflame, Artistry, Mary Kay, Avon, MAC Cosmetics, L’Oréal, Revlon, Estee Lauder, Clinique, Maybelline, and Neutrogena. More recently, cosmetics which do not have any synthetic ingredients and are made from organic products have become a favourable option for many. In spite of being regulated, it is believed that cosmetic products still have harmful chemicals in them, leading to health concerns.

There are a variety of cosmetic products. They include bubble baths, bath oils, bath salts, gels and hair sprays, hair colours, permanent waves, nail polish for fingers and toes, skin-care creams, powders, lipsticks, lotions, perfumes, deodorants, make-up for the face and the eyes, coloured contact lenses, and baby products. Sunscreens are another type of cosmetic product used to protect the skin from the UV rays and prevent tanning of the skin. Other cosmetic products are used to repair of hide imperfections on the skin such as wrinkles, acne, dark circles, etc.
